Stockhill Wood on the Mendips on a misty morning, the fog beginning to clear and the sun breaking through between the trees in rays of light. This is from a different part of the wood to the other Stockhill prints – the trees and the light balanced against each other, the whole scene feeling quietly otherworldly.
Shot in black and white to push the contrast between the dark trunks and the soft, glowing light filtering through – the kind of image that’s hard to walk past without stopping.
