Black and white
Black and white photography has a timeless quality that colour simply can’t replicate. Strip away the distraction of colour and what remains is pure light, shadow, texture and mood – the bones of the image laid bare. I’ve always been drawn to converting certain shots to mono, and over the years I’ve found that some of my work translates well into black and white.
This collection brings together the best of that work: ethereal ancient beech trees; misty mornings on the Somerset Levels; the Clifton Suspension Bridge emerging from fog; stags on frost-covered ground in Ashton Court; coastal landmarks stripped back to raw graphic shapes. Subjects that already carry a sense of drama and atmosphere tend to take on a new dimension in monochrome.
If you’re looking for black and white wall art, a monochrome print for a modern interior, or a striking gift for a photography lover, you’ll find fine art prints here – each one giclée printed using archival pigment inks on 300gsm Somerset Photo paper for exceptional tonal range and lasting quality. Prints are available from A5 up to A0 and beyond, with canvas options on selected images.
