A quick dash down the hill last night to catch the northern lights. In Bristol 🤯A few moments later the clouds arrived and gobbled up the rest of the sky, which was quite annoying because I could see loads of greens and reds behind it, when it really kicked off. As the sun rose, a large bank of fog lifted up revealing low lying mist across the Somerset Levels, creating some pretty spectacular lighting underneath. No snow locally, so this is looking back to this time last year. It took me two attempts to make it up to the Mendips - the first ended with my car sliding down a hill… I managed to make it the second time and arrived just as the sun began to thaw the snow-dusted trees. I quite liked this view, the fine snow dust looking almost like misty rays as it fell from the branches above#somerset #winter #mendips #priddy #stockhillwood
