I cannot wait for the day I can finally get up a proper mountain (I’m talking about you, Pen y Fan). Forever young . . . Like I was going to try and ge Forever young . . . Like I was going to try and get any other photo at the weekend... I’ve ticked off blossom, comet, snow - I managed fog recently but as you can imagine there wasn’t much to look at 🧐 What next?! . Getting there an hour before sunrise was still not enough to have the place to ourselves, but through the power of patience, and err clonestamp, I managed to fix any encroachers/snowboarders 😂 Now... what are the odds of snow in April?? 🌸❄️🧐 . . . NB. The Island . . . Very occasionally a sunrise will The Island . . . Very occasionally a sunrise will come along that makes your jaw drop... yesterday was one of these. It’s interesting how because lockdown has forced me into staying local, I’ve had to try and find something different (eg pink tree pic). There is no question I’d have been zooming off to Glastonbury Tor or down to Dorset, however I decided to head up above the city instead and find something new... At least that was the intention, because for the first 30 minutes it was a wall of thick fog with practically zero visibility. Just after sunrise, this slowly moved off to reveal a ridiculous carpet of cloud stretching all the way round - and straight over the city... . . . @sonyalpha @earthfocus @folkmagazine @folkgreen @artofvisuals @lensbible @sonyalphasclub
Deerlight . . . So something verrry interesting ha Deerlight . . . So something verrry interesting happened a couple of days ago... I got an email to say this photo had made it through to the final round of Wildlife Photographer of the Year! 😮😮😮Sadly, my excitement was shortlived, because it was disqualified a day later 🤦‍♂️😂😂 It turns out (and as I should have read in the small/actually quite large and clear print), Stanley’s not quite wild enough (he’s basically a giant sheep in a giant pen) 😐 An almost, but not quite moment... Maybe next year eh Stan! (NB.
