Glastonbury Tor on a misty sunrise morning, shot from Wearyall Hill looking across the Somerset Levels. The mist sitting low across the Levels, the Tor rising clearly above it, the sun just coming up alongside the tower.
It’s one of those views that never gets old – the Tor has been a landmark on the Somerset skyline for centuries, and on a morning like this, with the mist and the light doing their thing, the Avalon mythology doesn’t feel entirely far-fetched.
The black and white treatment strips back the colour and lets the shape and atmosphere carry the image – the clean silhouette of the tower against the rising sun, the mist softening everything below.
