Description
On the right morning, when the conditions are perfect and the mist rolls in thick off the Avon Gorge, Clifton Suspension Bridge almost disappears entirely. This is one of those mornings – the gorge filled to the brim with fog, the bridge towers barely visible, the whole scene reduced to soft shapes and muted light.
Taken from next to Clifton Observatory, this image captures that fleeting moment when Bristol’s most iconic landmark becomes something altogether more mysterious and ethereal. It’s a side of the bridge that most people never see.
